Some journeys begin with a blueprint. Ours begins with a story etched into Country.
Across the sweeping waterways, gathering places and pathways of Jeltchering Murrup – Fighting Spirit – a story unfolds. It is a story of Country, community and connection. Of listening before leading. Of understanding before building.
Today, that story becomes an important part of Alchemy’s own journey with the launch of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
For more than a decade, Alchemy has worked alongside communities across Victoria, creating places that strengthen lives and leave a lasting impact. Our RAP represents a natural next step in that journey – a commitment to deepen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, learn from the world’s oldest continuing cultures and embed reconciliation into the way we work, partner and build.
More than a framework, our RAP is a promise. A promise to listen with respect, to learn with humility and to create opportunities for meaningful and lasting change.

Introducing: ‘Jeltchering Murrup — Fighting Spirit’ by artist Simon Thomson
Every reconciliation journey begins with a story.
For Alchemy, that story is captured in Jeltchering Murrup — Fighting Spirit, a powerful commissioned artwork created by proud Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung, Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri artist Simone Thomson. Created to accompany the launch of Alchemy’s inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), the artwork serves as both a visual representation of our commitment to reconciliation and a reminder of the enduring connection between people, place and Country.
Rich with symbolism, Jeltchering Murrup weaves together themes of community, belonging, cultural knowledge and shared responsibility. It reflects the values that guide Alchemy while honouring the histories, cultures and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

For Alchemy, this artwork also embodies our “fire in the belly” spirit: the passion to challenge convention, champion inclusion and create lasting social impact through the places we build. Connected through journey tracks and pathways, the fire circles reflect our commitment to engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, strengthening partnerships and embedding reconciliation into the future of our business.
This is the spirit that inspires our Reflect RAP.
