Construction is underway at Victoria University’s Sunshine Campus, where Alchemy Construct is delivering the new VU Brimbank Tech School – a purpose-built STEM learning hub designed to expand opportunity, capability and connection for young people across Melbourne’s west.
Developed in partnership with the Victorian Government, Victoria University, local secondary schools and industry, the project reflects a shared commitment to education that prepares students for the future of work.
Designed as a centre of excellence for science, technology, engineering and mathematics education (STEM), the Tech School will support immersive, hands-on learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom. Once complete, the facility will serve 14 local secondary schools, providing free access to specialist programs, advanced technology and industry-connected learning for up to 14,000 students. The building will house flexible design studios, 3D printing facilities and outdoor learning spaces, with programs co-designed alongside industry to address real-world challenges in areas such as health, AI, clean energy and advanced manufacturing.
Built with integrity, intent and long-term impact in mind, the project is targeting a 5-Star Green Star rating, reinforcing a commitment to environmentally responsible design and future-ready infrastructure. With works progressing toward completion ahead of a planned opening in Term 3, 2026, the VU Brimbank Tech School is being shaped as a place where learning, innovation and opportunity come together – supporting the next generation of thinkers, makers and leaders in the Brimbank community and beyond.
