To support the growth of women and girls football in the area, Moonee Valley City Council approved redevelopment works at Buckley Park that included much needed changes to the Doutta Stars Pavilion.
The scope sought to improve existing conditions by providing new amenities to meet current standards, upgrades of the existing first aid room, umpire room and the bar/lounge amenities, the construction of new Home and Away change rooms, a new pergola and associated tiered spectator seating. The increased capacity required coordination of new infrastructure utilities, re-routing existing in-ground services, a new sports field tower light, with all works managed to ensure ongoing safe access to the reserve.
The works were undertaken with ongoing access to change rooms and toilets by the sporting teams, requiring management to maintain security of the premises and safe access by the clubs and general public.
